With 5 years of experience in general residential construction, McGowan Services started as a Siding subcontractor for large construction companies. With master's degree qualifications in Historic Preservation, I have a high level of understanding in working on historic properties and homes in historic districts. Historic Preservation has informed my work in the trades, while every house and project might not be 180 years old or millions of dollars, they represent the built material culture of our society. The comfort and safety provided by our homes serves as the backdrop for our own lives as we become history ourselves. That being said, historic preservation should never be something inaccessible to everyday people or something that should hamper or interfere with people's complex lives, this is an important mentality for the construction business in general. I value communication and clarity on my projects.  I hope that I can help solve problems and help your house tell the story of your own life.
