McGowan Services is owned and operated by Ryan McGowan, a licensed residential builder based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. With over eight years of experience in residential construction, Ryan began his career working as a siding subcontractor for larger construction companies before expanding into a range of home improvement and renovation services.
Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Historic Preservation, providing specialized knowledge of traditional building methods, older homes, and historically sensitive renovations. This background informs a practical approach to construction that respects the structure and character of each home while focusing on durability, safety, and long-term value.
McGowan Services focuses on medium-scale residential projects, including deck construction, window installation and replacement, siding installation, basement finishing, skylight installation, and exterior repairs. In addition to homeowner projects, McGowan Services also works with contractors as a subcontractor, providing framing, drywall installation, siding installation, and general carpentry labor.
Clear communication, reliability, and careful workmanship are central to every project. McGowan Services aims to provide practical solutions that improve the comfort, functionality, and longevity of each home.
